AGDC received a grant from Aspire Coronation (ACT) foundation to train young people resident in Edo and Imo states. The ripple effect of the training is to create more entrepreneurs who would in turn employ at least 2 people thereby reducing the rate of unemployment.
This intervention is a mind-opening avenue for young and budding entrepreneurs. Beneficiaries learnt practical hands on training on Solar panel installation & sales, Photography and Make-up artistry.
After the 5 days vocational training, a Youth summit/graduation was held for about 2000 youth consisting of beneficiaries of the training and young people in the state.
At the summit, we had successful Entrepreneurs in different fields share their Entrepreneurial journey to inspire and motivate the young people. It also provided an avenue for start-up entrepreneurs to learn how to get on their entrepreneurial journey through access to funding opportunities provided by Bank of Industry through the YOUTH IGNITE Project.

Mr. Bamidele Okunaiya of Fidele Aggregation spoke about opportunities that abound in Agro allied industry and the youth of Edo state can be a part of it.
Mr. Femi Iromini, Country Manager for Lead360 facilitators of the solar panel class charged them to look around them and provide solutions to shortage of power supply arising in their locality. Renewable energy is the future of energy.
